A nomadic travel and wildlife photographer, I roam North America in my RV searching for interesting and beautiful places to photograph. Documenting my adventures through the camera lens, I share my stories and photos on my website and social media.
My photographic journey began in the late 1970s when I started making photos for my high school yearbook and the local newspaper. I fell in love with capturing life on film and took my camera everywhere. Wanting to continue my photographic education after high school, I joined the US Navy in order to attend the US Naval Schools of Photography.
Over the course of a 20-year career as a Navy Photographer, I spent 10 years aboard two aircraft carriers and a destroyer tender, traveling around the world five times documenting life at sea in peacetime and during times of conflict. I also did tours with Combat Camera, with Public Affairs, and as an instructor at the very school I joined the Navy to attend, where I taught color photography, illustrative studio photography, photojournalism, and portraiture. In 2000, I completed my Navy career, having obtained the rank of Chief Photographer.
After the Navy, I gravitated towards a life making travel and wildlife photos and videos. In a short time, my work started appearing in magazines, books, and video projects. In 2018, I sold my home, bought an RV, and hit the road in search of my next photographic adventures.
